In all honesty, as much as I didn’t enjoy reading this book, I would recommend the reading of Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens. The storyline is nothing that keeps you reading at the edge of your seat and the way it is written is very boring and difficult to read; however, the theme and the main idea of the book is worth the read. You will come out from reading this with a new perspective of growing up and what your expectations are in life. Being able to read about Pip growing up and learning from his mistakes will help you learn when you are at the point in life to make decisions and enter the real world. You can learn from Pip and make sure to realize the dangers that Pip encountered, that one day you may encounter as well. The vocabulary also is very difficult but will help you expand your vocab yourself and I myself have noticed already, that I have been using many new words I read in this book. I highly recommend reading this book because once you get past the difficult writing and the fairly boring storyline, you are left with a very good message that you will keep with you for the rest of your life.
