Charles John Huffman Dickens was born February 7th, 1812 in Hampshire, England. He is a well-known English author who wrote numerous popular novels. Throughout his life he wrote short stories, plays, novellas, novels, fiction, and non-fiction writing pieces. Much of what he wrote is very popular for its morals and values they taught. He was capable of making up characters and telling us of their lives in a way that many other authors looked up to. His writing work was very popular in his time and became even more popular in the 20th century. Some of his greatest work including Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities he wrote just before his death on June 9th, 1870.
